Not sure if I'll be attending this one or not.
Even with most of our military, going to be in attendence in static and flying, I'm not too sure if its worth the 2.5 hour drive. Don't get me wrong, I love our aircraft, but if it was a full fledge show, I'd be more then willing to go, but it sounds like its a very scaled down version of an "airshow".
I'll keep my eye on it though.

It's not a scaled down version of anything, it's an open house. It's so that the community can come see all the kit that the CF uses on a daily basis to support Canadian endeavors at home and abroad. It's so that the taxpayer can see what he is paying for. It's so that 8 wing can show off what makes us the best wing in Canada. Thanks for letting us know though.

Open house, scale down.....same thing! Either way, I'll keep my eye on it, see if it develops into something bigger, perhaps maybe some US participation. I know in one of the articles, they mentioned they would try to get some stuff from the US, if available. I hope Trenton comes back with a full blown airshow again soon, obviously with the situations in the world today, its going to be difficult. Did I just DPG you? I STILL don't know what that means!

Trenton will put on a good show and I think one can expect quite a large audience over the weekend. Quote: I hope Trenton comes back with a full blown airshow again soon I was at the last airshow they hosted in '03 and the only US participation was the Viper East with Ship in his Sabre. All other performers were CF related. They didn't even have the Snowbirds! This time, they will have the SB and the Hawk One HF to add to the show in the least... I think I just DPG'd you, lol!

Plus Trenton is one of the few places you'll see a CF herc anymore. With the Op Tempo being maintained in Trenton, as long as we are in Afghanistan I wouldn't count on a large show. I'm amazed they are even hosting this one, but it will be exciting none the less. I prefer a nice intimate CF based show... my new 'hometown' show for the time being.

Damn! lol. Hopefully we'll see some more updates soon. The fact that its 2 days, is pretty promising as well.

Take some pride in those who have sworn to defend our nation (and the Queen)! Last I checked the Blue Angels don't really do squat for Canada. Plus, Canadians really know how to throw a party.. I've been disappointed by USAF dudes on many-an-occasion. Hopefully they'll have a few functions in the O's mess.

I am definitely going to try and make this one, I really want to see the Halifax, since we are about halfway there going to go up to Rockcliffe to the museum make a few days of it. Spent most of the last few years at TOM,05,06,07 GML and the NMUSAF. Was at Quinte Airshow in 1987. Went Digital a couple of years ago so everything is new again. When I figure out the scanner I will post some pics from 87.

For the record: The Snowbirds did perform both days of the Trenton Air Show 2003.

Hey there, with one week to go, any news on this show, i've been watching their site, and now the Saturday flying looks like the same as Sunday. Any word on any American muscle coming up for the weekend? http://www.cfbtrenton.com/anniversary/index.phpVijay

It's an open house style show, going to be all CF stuff. On the bright side, pretty much every piece of kit in the CF will be there. If all goes according to plan, everything from the mighty Grob 120A (wooo!) to the C-17 will be on the East ramp. Not to mention CC-130 and CC-177 flying demos, don't see those everyday. Also the vintage stuff from CWH and VW. Going to be an awesome show! Also, Saturday morning there will be a parade to re-dedicate the gates out front of the base that will include a bunch of fly overs incl some 500 footers from the Hercs (which is painfully high for them). A cool chance to check out a military ceremony.
