That would have been the flight that takes special needs kids to Disneyland just for the day. Think there was about 50 kids and 100 caretakers. Nice thing to do, but what a long day for the kids!

Was at Fanshawe Lake yesterday when they flew in from the north in formation at 16:00. Did one left-hand circuit then landed 15. Was a short stay tho; they were back up at 17:30 and outta here, northwest. Very cool. Haven't ever seen Alpha Jets before. Anyone know who owns them?

Never leave home without your camera.

Surprisingly enough, Top Aces owns them. They do a lot of aggressor training out in Cold Lake.

They got about 16 of them. They fly all over...Cold Lake, out on East coast, around Quebec. They also got 2 Westwinds.

If you ever hear a call sign "Cheetah #"...you got yourself a Canadian Alpha Jet....I got my heads up from the RadarBox. Their Mode-S showed up and I looked it up....and 5 mins later I was out the door.

My stepson was almost on that flight....we had the option of going....but he was with his father and sister in Florida for 2 weeks anyways (at the same time).
As far as the long day....probably nothing compared to going to the hospital for Chemotherapy and spending there half the day (if you are lucky).
