Paul, My friend wants to fly in for the opening on Saturday and would like to bring his Focke-Wulf Fw 149D. He did contact Bob regarding flying in but hasn't heard anything probably quite busy considering all that is happening this week! My friend wanted to know if he would be welcome to bring the FW down..?

As I figured, your friend will be more than welcome. Do you know where the hanger is?

Paul

Hope the Grand Opening went well. I didn't quite make it, but I did get as far as Creamery to catch some of the guests on their way in:

Looking forward to seeing some pics of the event proper.

The open house went very well. Probably had around 200 people attend. I'll post some pics later, but I'm beat tonight. The pig roast was awesome!! Nice pictures Mike.

Paul it sounds like you had a good turnout. I was a bit dismayed by the short piece on A channel last night. Interesting to see the T33s sitting on the grass though!

i didn't get to see the spot as i brought turbo to my house last night just to wind down with us.

Derek hammond was going to take turbo home but he had to go to some wedding or function today and it would have been a stretch to get him home and make it to his thing and turbos in no rush to get home so we drove him here and showed them the horses and the animals then sat on the lawn and had a little wine and cheese and then drove him home at midnite after talking about planes all nice...was nice to unwind after all that helping take down of the show...

Sounds like a nice way to end the evening and I am sure Turbo appreciated it!

Website has now been updated with story and pictures from the open house. Not the best photos, but I expect to get some good quality shots soon.

oh it was...learned so much from him and now i can email him whenever i want to ask him about things....im sure it helped ease his mind about the last t-33's that have to come out of mountainview....he has to ferry them one at time to trenton then get a ride back and take the last t-33 out of mountainview...

heres what he emailed me..
"Still no word on leaving for Trenton/Mountain View tomorrow, or the ferry flights so it appears ego & embarrassment have won out. Their loss - I'm still leaving on Wed. 16th."

sucks eh...

Haha who knows. Could be a number of different things. Just be careful Darren on posting Turbo's comments as I'm sure we all don't want them to be misinterpreted.
AS for the Open House is was a great time for sure! If only I could of stayed longer then after the tear down like you did Darren. Would of been a even greater time! Hope we get a larger turn out for Doors Open. Things can only get even more interesting as we continue to expand at this crazy rate!
