is the WC-130 the "hurricane hunters"?

I don't think anyone flies the WC-130H anymore.
The 53rd WRS (aka "The Hurricane Hunters") fly the WC-130J out of Keesler, MS.
I'm sure Redman means a WC-130J for static.

C-130 International Training Center
In October 2007, it was announced that as an amendment to the BRAC 2005 decision, the 118 AW would continue to retain a flying mission, transitioning from an Air Mobility Command (AMC)-gained unit to that of a training organization operationally gained by the Air Education and Training Command (AETC). As the C-130 International Training Center, the 118 AW assumed a new role in support of DoD Foreign Military Sales (FMS), training up to 150 international military C-130E and C-130H flight crew and maintenance students annually. Although its C-130H2 aircraft were transferred to other Air National Guard airlift wings, the 118 AW did gain six WC-130H aircraft that had been retired from weather reconnaissance duties with the Air Force Reserve Command's 403d Wing at Keesler AFB, MS.

No smarts just facts. I was interested aslo as I thought the same thing when he told me. but apon further review the interesting facts were found.

F-15's are static only, same with the 25.

A C-2 Greyhound has been added to static.

CP-140 Aurora added to static. CT-142 Dash 8 may be flying during the show (still pending). More additions to come soon.

CWH's Firefly and Lysander will be coming down for the show. A UH-1N Huey from Andrews AFB has been added as well.

Trying my best. I will help were I am needed. I want this show to succeed. I had a B-52 until today. they pulled the pin or at least the C/O did. I was keeping my fingers crossed but it did not work out.

Darn, that would have been sweet to see here. Any word on the C-17 Demo and C-5 for static Gerry had talked about a while ago?

I would say that is will not happen for those 2 aircraft. I am working on a KC-10 but this close to the show I would not hold your breath on much more firming up.

Ah, ok. Yeah Keith said the same thing, other than some F-16's and A-10's and another B-25 he's working, he doesn't expect much else to firm up.
