F-18C Hornet East Coast Demo is added to the line-up! Glad to add some more noise! Now if we can add an ACC demo or 2 that would be great!

I know the CF-18 Demo is better, but to the average joe, they'll see 2 demos of the same Jet. Beggers cant be choosers, but im sure you guys know what I mean when I say "blah".

Guys we have to give GMAN a big whoop whoop. He put a ton of effort into securing the Baby Bug from the US Navy. And in a time were there is nothing but cut backs and less Canadian shows from US demos. It is a Massive salute to the work GMAN puts in on these shows.
Way to go Gerry.
Mike.

I must agree Redman. Any military jet of F-18 caliber will be a draw for the local crowd and buffs alike and while I understand Brawlers point on the buffs being able to tell the difference its still a welcome addition to any Canadian line-up that would of been to "quiet" otherwise. Great work Gman

Gerry could also use his imagination and put on a "USN Demo vs CAF Demo" Both Hornets go into the air back to back and the airshow public can vote for who put on the best demo. The winner, gets to do some celebratory fly-bys and high speed passes...the loser, has to buy everyone in the SWOAB pit a beer or 2....or 12!

I have to admit, thats the best Idea I've ever heard from you! Also I was in no way bashing Gmans efforts. Just speaking my mind. I'd like to be Gerry's Protege sometime and take over his duties when he gets old. Then again, even if he was bed ridden and had to drink from a tube, he'd still be planning airshows. Bed go Up, Bed go down.

Love the F-18C demo from the Navy, very different from the CF version. If you appreciate pointy-noise flying you'll learn to love the USN demo for the subtleties, also awesome repositions. I'd take a Navy demo over a ACC demo ANY day. Also nice to see a legacy hornet that has a decent serviceability rate and has probably deployed more recently than '99 .

I saw the F-18C demo last year at TOM, and it is vastly improved over the early 2000's. I remember the Hornet demo in London a few years back (when the SB had the mishap over the lake, and were scrubbed for the week-end), and it was very tame compared to the CF-18, but they're both on about the same level now.

Hey guys, No offense taken at all...I know when you guys see the 18 East and the CF-18 you'll love it either way. We would all go to the end of the runway to watch a T6-II arrive if we could. Here's my two cents. If we had the F16 East and West demo go to the same show everyone would go wild! I have hosted both teams a few times in the past and the best part is both shows are different and one thing I'll give the USN boys. I saw them do a demo in a 700 foot ceiling. It was MAGIC!!!! Both aircraft did the demo together and followed each other through each move of their show. It was a Friday mind you but outstanding to say the least. The Navy guys are awesome to hang out with as well and like the CF-18 very easy to host for the weekend... Can't wait for the show...you can add a T38 from Whiteman AFB as well for static. G

Blog updated. Along with the HF Hawk 1 will be flying in formation with the Snowbirds before they head out and warm up, it will then do a solo act. The Tutor Cenennaire will also be at the show but only on static. http://windsorinternationalairshow.blogspot.com/
