check out what I found while I was Surfing...
http://www.londonairshow.com/balloon.html
It still has full Aerial and Static Lists. If I remember correctly, the show was Cancelled in mid-may. Mr. Baker stepped in after things were cancelled and still convinced the Super Hornet guys along with the CF-18 guys to come down.
It was gonna be a strong show that year....

Yup, that would have been a good one. I sure do miss the Hour of Power. Best part of the whole week-end.

Goon and Ox we a blast to work with that year from the Super Hornet. It was great that we were still able to get them to Come to London after the Cancellation. Gman and myself spent alot of time getting that one to work. and of course Mr Baker for giving the go a head and the $$ to get them here. They flew in London on Saturday and Tillsonburgh on Sunday and were more than happy to do so. Goes to show the professionalism of these guys. they just want to fly and strut there stuff. And man do I love to watch it.

Goon just recently finnished his 3rd stint in Operation Enduring Iraqi Freedom. Professionalizm is what those Gentlemen are all about... that is 'till they hit Richmond Street with myself, the ground crew and a few others. Those navy boys know how to Party.
Buca, the Pilot of the CF-18 demo that year was also a Model Servicemen. He and Goon shared stories and Goon even convinced Buca the night before to lower the tailhook for the High Alpha pass. "Its a Hornet Thing"
The People was what made that year stand out from the rest. to go from Utter Dissapoint a month before the show, to having the most fun I have ever had, really makes 2005 stand out for me.

Good eveing guys for the big city.
All that being said, I was very glad we could put something together however the disappoint for me was tremendous as I think I may put together the best line up I have ever done.
Take a look at the lineups I had for the weekend. I dug them out of my computer once I saw the string. I have copied them off of my excel, so I hope the format is OK, the columns would not line up. This would have been one for the decades
All docs were as of May 1st so you know there would have been some changes however this will make you mind swim. Keep in mind the French and Germans were 100 percent confirmed. We know because there were not very happy when we called to cancel. The only addition would have been the arrival of a French Transall on Sunday as part of the show.
Friday Night "Hour of Power"
1 F/A-18F Super Hornet 1900 1910 10

Wow, how did I miss this topic!
Unbelieveable line-up! This is why I'm so happy that Gerry and Mike and others are involved with not only Wings n Wheels but also Windsor as well.
I remember the dissapointment, when I found out. Not many people realize, that it just KILLS the organizers. They are the ones who juggle their full-time jobs AND try to put on a sizeable airshow. They are also huge airshow fans, so its like you are being stabbed in the back and in the heart at the same time, when a show cancels.
I also remember 2002 when the Blues and Snowbirds were going to be at London.
I personally want to thank everyone who makes these shows possible. You guys did a great job with London and are doing great jobs with WnW and Windsor!
I just cannot wait till this year's shows and then London 2010!
I have this feeling Gerry, Mike and company are going to go all out for this one! Hopefully the Germans and French have short memories and would be willing to appear at London in 2010.
Thanks a lot guys! You rock!
