I was in Ottawa last week and spent a couple of hours at the airport viewing area on Alert Rd. It is a great setup - much like Creamery but Alert rd runs on the south side of the east-west runway and about 1000 feet from the east end. It is photography-friendly with parking and a good view of the runway as the fence actually runs in a gully below the road for a short distance. They also have an 'Airport Watch' group of about 50 enthusiasts that describe their organization as being like Neighbourhood Watch. It is supported by the Airport which gives the members a free breakfast in the terminal building once a month!
