It's not confirmed yet but the VFA-106 Legacy Hornet Demo team might be using the 30th anniversary Hornet for their demo's this season. http://www.airshowbuzz.com/forums/index ... ntry100522

If they do use it it's going to be sweet to see the painted CF-18 and VFA-106's painted Legacy Hornet at the same show. :D

Well, they've held 3 practice sessions of the demo at NAS Oceana and they used the Hornet 'special' each time. It's unlikely that many 'training flights' are being done using the jet as they won't want to ruin the paint job by placing armament or fuel tanks under the crisp white paint finishing. I'll bet that we see the 'special' flying a few demos this year :)

In that case, I agree - there will be A LOT of shows dying to have both painted F/A-18C and CF-18 demo jets at their show. I don't even care if they do a full demo, I could go for 5-6 formation passes, haha!!

Snowbirds are now confirmed for both Saturday and Sunday!

From Keith:

Snowbirds
Now Two Days of Experience!

CPT Steve Thompson has graciously asked the Windsor International Air Show if Windsor would host the Snowbirds for the two day show. Originally they were suppose to fly to Montreal for a Sunday flight, however plans have changed. They will be flying on the Sunday as well over Windsor.
The Snowbirds have shown unwavering commitment to the Windsor Air Show and we at the Air Show thank them for their dedication.

That's great news! I hope we can still get some sweet departures.

Just noticed on the CF Airshow website that a second CF-18 from Bagotville is confirmed to do a demo, and a CT-142 is confirmed for static.

Ok, I talked to Keith and the second CF-18 is actually going to be the backup demo jet.

Haha

Don't worry there are lots of military aircraft in the works, once they're confirmed I'll post them.

So whats going on withthe show? We're inside a month and I haven't really heard anything. a couple updates here and there but nothing solid. I got vacation time planned for that weekend but im beginning to wonder if its worth it and just make it a weekend insead of a 5-day stint like i do for London shows. C'mon Ryan, Enlighten me.
