Sadly missed by one and all... A fantastic little airshow! Best memories for me was seeing Jerry Billings display the Spitfire low over the fields and also the DC4 coming into land on the small grass strip. Funniest moment was the performer right after the DC4 landed(mustang) saying he could see the field and could also see a perfect "planform siloughette" of a DC4 in the corn field off the end of the runway!!

Ah yes, Muirkirk....I remember her well. Great setting, great aircraft. Went twice, sad to say I was not there the year Billings flew the spit. Saw the C-54 through the corn, saw the late Jeff Ethell almost tip up P-51 Nervous Energy onto her nose, last time I saw Duponts Wildcat. Too bad she is no more.

My two best memories from Muirkirk are having a chilly outdoor breakfast with Jeff Ethel by the barn early one morning and shooting Pete Spence flying the Swordifsh with astronaut Chris Hadfield in the backseat and Lex Dupont flying fighter cover. A close third is Rick Zerbie cutting the corn in the C-54. Great times!
