A RBAR plane crashed during an emergency landing attempt just south of CYQS near John Wise Line today after the pilot ran into mechanical trouble with oil pressure and was forced to put the plane down in a farm field. The plane flipped over after the wheels made contact in the soft mud.
The pilot suffered only minor injuries and was taken to St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital by Elgin St.Thomas EMS paramedics.

Just to add to this, the pilot was Peter Besenyei who is also the founder of the races. Glad he's ok.

I knew who it was just after he was transported to hospital, but wasn't 100% sure if it was public knowledge yet. I had heard who it was from the paramedics who took him into the ER, but couldn't say anything because of patient confidentiality laws.
