Our next meeting for JAM is this Monday, March 2, at 7:00 pm. You don't have to be a member to come, so come on out and check us out. Address and map are on the website.

The next monthly JAM meeting is next Monday, Jun 1st, at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to come out and see what we're up to, as well as check out a couple of the jets. And, if you were considering becoming a member, the prorated fee starts Jun 1st as well...6 months membership for $50.00. Hope to see some, if not all, of you out there. Can't hurt to take a look now.

Paul

Awesome meeting tonight at JAM. Honestly every meeting room should have 2 t-birds in it lol. 90 days till the next 3 t-bird arrivals will be hard work but sounds possible provided run ups and inevitable fixes go well. Also sounds like things are quickly getting better organized for have jam booths etc at up coming air shows. I may be volunteering with the Hammonds at the Kitchener show. Also got a chance to show the t-shirt design to a couple of the directors so hopefully they like it at their next meeting. Clark, Paul feel free to add anything to my summery! Oh also great to meet you guys too! before I forget (too tired after all the driving lol)

Good point. A JAM meeting doesn't lend itself to that sort of language. Sorta unbalanced when it comes to the fairer sex. Either way it will be fun times just different more plane nuts focused fun

Great meeting last night and I even brought the wife to show her where her husband keeps disappearing too lol. She liked the hangar and I wish I could of introduced her to you all but it was tough with having to do all of the driving. Next time I need to show her the plane more so and so on. The one neat thing she said when I asked her what she thought about JAM and the meeting she said as soon as she walked in she got the huge feeling that every that was there was excited about what we where doing and really wanted to succeed!
As for the meeting its self it was very positive. Lots of new members and I missed the chance to talk to a guy from Diamond that said he was involved in design so if I see him around next time talking to him is high priority! The Open house was very positive and we did make money for the Museum! With just this event alone let alone the one this coming weekend we should be able to be in the positive this month! Lots of good feedback on the Open House and Golfing event was given and will be used to help in planing for next year.
As for the the status of the remaining 2 t-birds in Mountain view, Dennis said he was trying to learn all he could about the systems that failed (flaps on one bird and elevator trims tabs on the other). We would like to get them back this month but we will have to see what can be worked out with the flight crew and maintenance teams. I talked to Turbo afterwards and he said they are simple systems but that it shouldn't be too hard to fix if all goes well.
Anyways feel free to add to this if I missed anything!
Did anyone stick around later? If so did they end up doing a thing with a speaker at all?

I'm sure Paul is working away on the meeting minutes but I can give a quick update. First off Bob was away sick with the flu so keep him in your thoughts guys and wish him a speedy recovery. Dave held the meeting and did a great job moving through all that needed to be covered. Denis gave a update on the Mountainview trip and said we got lucky with the fix and the solution didn't eat up too much of their time and they spent a lot of time going over the planes nose to tail again. We should be good to fly them out (fingers crossed). Derek Hammond is aiming to bring the planes back on the 19 or 20th of Oct as long as all the paper work clears (we have to make sure we keep 6 different groups happy to ferry the planes). After that things we sorta the norm meeting stuff covering the maintenance planing and flow charts. Anyways keep your eyes peeled for the minutes.

Next members meeting is tomorrow night at 19:00, though you don't have to be a member to attend...everyone is welcome. Should be lots of information on the new maintenance program now that all 6 jets are here. Hope to see you there!

Aside form the usual legal stuff, last nights meeting was almost like a chance to catch ones breath, after getting the last 2 aircraft in...but not for long! A lot of the meeting was taken up by the maintenance team discussing their plans to get started on the aircraft. The Tuesday crew (maintenance on other than aircraft) are also busy working on the GPU, engine can re-sealing, tool cabinets, etc. David (Canada Eh) is working on the JAM newsletter. And there was a potential proposal to offer flights in other jet aircraft until ours are ready, specifically an L-39, as a fundraiser for JAM. Lots of details to work out on that one yet, but sure would be cool! That's the main stuff from the meeting. Next meeting is December 7th.
