With so many aircraft arriving on Friday, is the show offering any access for photography?

Thanks,
Shawn

At the moment there won't be access for photography, Keith is working on finalizing a photo tour Friday evening though. This will most likely be finalized soon, to get in it will be a small donation for the Windsor goodfellows.

There are quite a few good areas to photograph arrivals off airport property though. Let me know if anyone would like to know and I'll mark them on a map or something and post it.

Once the show gets closer I'll post the list of arrvial times as well.

Looks like my one day in Windsor might expand to include the arrivals on Friday; any insights of good places to shoot from would be appreciated (and details on the Friday evening photo tour).

Sure thing, I'll mark all of the spots on a google map image and post it for you guys either tonight or tomorrow. For the photo tour the info should be released soon, I'll let you guys know if I find out anything from Keith.

OK here's the first spot and probably the best spot. This right at the end of rwy 07 and 12. The red box just shows the area, but basically anywhere in that feild is good. I'm not sure who the property is owned by but we have yet to be told to leave the area. The red cirlce show the easiest way to get in, there's an old gate there but you can still get in there. Parking close to that area is very limited so you'll probably have to park at one of the many businesses along Walker Rd. I put the yellow circle in there becuase you won't be able to park there. The cops usually sit there trying to catch speeders on Rhodes Dr.

The next spot isn't to bad if they are landing/taking off on rwy 30. There are several businesses along there where you'll be able to park and take photos at. There's also a small field which is marked with a red circle. Now I'm not sure if that spot is still there but we used to go out there during the old Windsor shows.

Rwy 25 is going to be very hard to shoot, and I'm assuming that will be the main rwy used for the heavies at least. This spot is not the greatest but it should work. If you have a pick-up it'll make it a lot easier because of the gate that is there. Again the blue box is parking.

Image

Last is this little hill that is located between to businesses on Rhodes Dr. I have not shot from here, and it is pretty far from the rwy but it would probably still work. I'm not really sure about where to park back there but, there should be plenty of places.

Hope this helps, let me know if you guys need anything else.
