Sounds like there has been a accident just short of runway 25 at YKF here is the initial report from local 570 news.

A plane has crashed off Shantz Station southbound heading toward Guelph. Police tell us there are undetermined injuries. Its a small plane. The aircraft was on fire but the flames have since been put out. For now all aircraft at the airport have been grounded.
*Update-It now appears there has been one death. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the pilot.

Police Inspector Steve Beckett tells 570 News there was one fatality, but they are still examining the wreckage to see if there are any others. A witness says the plane nosedived into the ground -- the charred wreckage itself takes up a very small amount of space. Beckett says it was a small aircraft but the wreckage makes up the "full plane". He adds, details of who was on board, even where it was headed, are still to be discovered. He says they'll coordinate their efforts with the Transport Safety Board, which will lead the investigation.
