Here's the first of some lenses I am gathering together for a little business venture starting next Spring. Canon EF400mm F2.8 L IS. Watch out for me at the airport and if you have a Canon body you are welcome to try it out.

Cheerio.

Martin.

No problem Mark, you are already a pro. I'll lend you the whole set up, just bring a CF card. Now to get a day off.....

We should go hang out at YYZ again....or maybe even YXU. I'm taking some overflight shots with my 70-400mm....check them out on the overflight thread.

No time these days to go to YYZ Mark. Local airports only. I was looking at your overflights last night, very clear.

I'm bidding on a 2.0x converter for the big lens. That should give me 800mm F5.6 and I stick it on a crop body it will be equivalent of 1280mm. It will be interesting to see the IQ for even something this expensive has it's limits.

Finally it is sunny.

Friday 16th October: I'll be up at the airport, Creamery Row from about 1:00 - 4:00 pm today if you want to try out the big lens on your Canon body. Come on out.

Martin. :)

I might be at YXU around 330pm to catch United Express and some more however I will be on west side of YXU (by K-cafe) where sun is on west side (good for images - no backlit)

Why not just walk down the railroad tracks a bit to the west. You can get good light, and be real close to the aircraft as well. Just watch out for trains! :)
