Wow, what a place for an airshow...sitting on a grass airfield with nothing in the background but trees and grass and fields. Lots of flying, with over 6 hours of warbirds, aerobatics, wing walking, and even a Viper East demo. I only have a P&S camera, so most pictures are of aircraft taxiing by right in front of you. The star of the show was the P-40 Warhawk, with 5 in attendance.

Took less than 4 hours to get there, not including border crossing time, which was pretty good too. The road from Buffalo to Geneseo is a beautiful drive too. We stopped at Letchworth State Park on Friday, which is called the Grand Canyon of the East, and it is spectacular.

The new highway bypass around Hamilton to the QEW Niagara from the 403 saves a lot of time too. This isn't even on any maps yet, including Google or Mapquest.

Paul

Sweet pics man!!! I would have loved to have seen the B-17. I am making plans to head to the Rodchester airshow, so I hope to post a few from that one.

Awesome.

Great pics and good weather. Boy could I use an airshow!
Keep sending the pictures and trip reports.

I'm enjoying reading them.

Gman
