Awesome news! RBAR has in fact been scheduled for the weekend before St. Thomas, so no hard choices to make!

Has anyone heard anything about opening acts yet? All I know is that the CHAA was supposed to do their display but had to cancel because of another show and that the CH2A may be flying their 2 Chipmunks and Stearman.

I was talking with the guys at the CH2A today about the races, on May 11th the first of 6 or 7 747's will be coming into Windsor to start dropping off their gear. Today the Lanc was removed from its hut outside so RBAR can use it for storage, the planes will also come in soon after and will be assembled in the main CH2A hanger. I'll be out getting pictures of everything that's going on since I'll have access to it all. The guys at the CH2A still haven't heard though what will be flying for opening acts. Once I find out when and what time the 747's are coming in I'll post it on here.

Quick update. So far 2 of the race planes have come in. The first one came in at the begining of the week, I'm not sure who's it is though. The second one came in today at 12, it was Matthias Dolderer. We all had a nice chat with him and gave him a tour before he had to head over to Metro Airport to catch his flight back home to Germany.

We aren't allowed to photograph any of the race planes in the hanger yet because of RBAR's rules, I will however try to catch them before they come into the hanger next time. Once the planes have been touched up and we get permission from RBAR I'll be taking a lot of photos. The rest of the planes will be coming in in the coming weeks, there will be 15 race planes, 1 spare plane and Mike Goulian is also bringing his Castrol Oil stunt plane. Along with anything else that comes in for the races.

That's funny, Hannes Arch's racer is in the hangar at CYTZ (Toronto Island Airport) along with one of the Red Bull helicopters. I got lots of pics, albeit on my cellphone as I didn't have a proper camera, haha! Nice shiny silver plane - wish I flew it!

Hmmm...I'll have to find out more about us not being allowed to take photos. I don't see why we can't but that's what RBAR told us.

For what it's worth, I've heard that a TBM Avenger crew was contacted about appearing at the race but hasn't been confirmed for it.

Well, no one from RBAR was around...The only people there are the hangar jockeys and they really don't care whether you take a pic or not, especially if my plane is parked right beside it ;)
