Here's an up to date list of performers/attractions at the show...

-USAF Thunderbirds
-Starfighters
-Gene Soucy
-Oregon Aero SkyDancer
-ProAirshow, LLC
-Red Eagle Airshows - Will Ward (Mig-17 and Mig-21)
-Tora! Tora! Tora!
-Mike Wiskus
-Greg Poe
-Brett Hunter
-F/A-18F Super Hornet West Coast Demo Team
-Yankee Air Force B-25 Mitchell
-Yankee Air Force C-47 Skytrain
-HH-65 Dolphin
-ANG A-10 Warthog
-KC-135 Stratotanker
-CH-47 Chinook
-UH-60 Blackhawk
-F-16 Fighting Falcon
-F-15 Eagle

Looks like it's going to be a great show!! :D

Also, I found out that the Mig-21 that was at the show in 2005 and at TOM last year is not Will Ward's, it is actually owned by the Van Air Venture organization, Will was only flying it to get checked out in it. His Mig-21 can be seen on his webpage.

That is a fantastic Lineup. This will be my 3rd Selfridge show, and by the looks of it the best!

I just sent off an e-mail to Will Ward to get confirmation about the MiG-21 coming to Selfridge, as it isn't on Selfridge's site, and not on Will Ward's, yet that press release from a month or two ago mentioned the MiG-21.

In a nutshell, Will said that he offered to fly the MiG-21 at Selfridge, but Selfridge is on the fence right now, as it is expensive to get him to perform.

We all know these days, money makes airshows fly high or be grounded. Hopefully Selfridge has some money left over so they can bring in the MiG-21.

Maybe an e-mail to Selfridge would clarify things, as maybe they know for sure if they can or not.

Hopefully it all works out!

Legacy flight has been confirmed. Most likely going to be the T-2 and the Super Hornet.

Looking for advice for a first time trip to Selfridge. Is it worthwhile going up for Arrivals Day? Or are they pretty aggressive about keeping people clear?

TIA,
Mike

Mike,

If no-one can get you an answer regarding arrivals, you may want to post that question over on ASB. They have quite a few Michiganders over there that could probably answer your question. I've only been there on show days.

I was there on Friday 2 years ago, You can park outside the base on the west end, there's a little place to park on the river, you have to stay behind the guardrail or the police will harass you. Its right @ the end of the runway. Not a whole lot of room, but if you have a decent camera it's worth it. Look on Google maps it will show you where I mean. Hope I helped .AL

Are you talking about the half built subdivision? That's my prime spotting place too. Definitely stay behind the wall, if the base guards see you they'll call the Sheriff.
