Skyhawks will be in town for the UWO homecoming week-end. I have no idea if the whole team will be here, or what aircraft will be used. Have to keep an eye out that week-end.

They will be performing at halftime, around 15:30, at TD Waterhouse.

You guys beat me to the punch as I was going to post this today...

I am organising the half time show at UWO Homecoming 2009 on Sat Oct 3rd.

I have arranged their jump with a Western flag and purple boot smoke which should be great

Their is an opporutnity that a couple of photographers may be interested in on Friday Oct 2nd. I am hosting a media kick off with VIPs from UWO and local media at the Firehall. I would be willing to allow a small number of SWOAB members in the fence and in a dedicated spot to photo the practice

I plan two jumps which will be media tandem jumps one launching at 1310 the second at 1420 on Friday

I plan Skyhawks arrival at 1200

Looked like the CASA C-212, they circled for quite a while but then a break in the clouds and they jumped in two groups one of five then I think of four sometime around 15:30-45 or so. One in the second group performed the candy cane smoke maneuver.

Did anyone notice the huge cluster of balloons? floating off to the east? Where did they come from?

Sorry for the late response as I have not been on site for a couple of weeks and travelling

I organised the half time show for the Homecoming football game yesterday

My plan for friday was SkyHawk Air Casa 212 arrival at 0800 then drive to stadiun and recce the grounds then a practice jump into the stadium at 1000

Next was a full show practice at the airport at 1330 then two media tandem jumps at 1430

They called me late thursday night that the aircraft was unservicable. They eventually got the second casa and arrived YXU around 1630

For those who remember 6 buffs were bought several years ago 5 for SAR and one for winter training and summer dedicated SkyHawks. As time went by this migrated to full time SAR and they now rent a civilian aircraft today, Two are in Trenton for mountainview paradrops

Sat we started at 0930 with 3 CF vehicles in the parade. Skyhawks were great and one Gwagon had the gun and turret installed

The performance was sked for halftime at the football game est 1515hrs. as the game is dynamic with time out etc no hard time

Significant rain and winds in the morning but we had clearing a few minutes before half time

High show performed with half the team making the field and half drifting due winds to the adjacent back up soccer field

The crowd at the stadium was great and everyone stayed in the seats at halftime to watch the show

This was their last show of the year so they had a great memory

Re the technical questions

They need 2500 agl and 8 to 12 kts wind

I published 3 miles to 12500 agl NOTAM but used 7000
