Hello All,

Thought you might like this, the Super Connie that was parked up here at the north end of YYZ that was a resturant for some time has been restored and will be displayed in Settle at Boeing.

I was at Boeing back in April and they were very excited to finnaly have the Connie and could not wait till she was done.

I look forward to seeing her!!

Wow, they did a great job on that. I remember seeing that old fuselage up at Pearson after the restaurant closed, and was basically rotting away. Do you know if this is airworthy, and will they be flying it?

No, no fly. There were a lot of stipulations in getting her there as they told me, one of the major hurdles was they are required to build a stucture to protect it from the elements.

I do not know if you have ever been there, but they have the larger aircraft sitting outside exposed, including the serial number one with the B737-100 and the B747-100, AG Concord, and the original Air Force One. I will post some pics when I get a chance.

They mentioned that they are pricing a structure to cover the Concord and Air Force One, while they where at it they ordered one for the Connie.

Can't wait to return.

Chris
