Sounds like the plan for a meet-up tomorrow is:

1 - See if there is a SWOAB pit behind the A-10s or
2 - Ryan (Tomcatboy) will try and tape of an area near the Moody Herc or
3 - Meet at the Jet Aircraft Museum trailer after the show. This is at the end of the food vendors.

Sound OK?

I think I'm gonna meet up Ryan at the Moody Herc first, and maybe try to find the SWOAB pit...might be better to have a pack of SWOABies looking for the pit lol

Like the idea, Paul! Hope we can all get together sometime tomorrow.

I saw that roped off area on Saturday behind the Hogs but security jumped down anyones throat who crossed those ropes.

For anyone whos still hoping to catch some show aircraft, they are getting pretty thin.......

Taco 91 & Taco 93 departed YXU around 1100. As of the time I left Taco 93 was still back getting repairs to its travel pod.

The last Herc left at the static, the centennial hornet and the last navy king air just departed YQS about 1300

Your damn right we did!

What an unbelievable Weekend!

Thursday I watched "The Tacos" arrive with G, Redman (codename "Janet" - Reason: Classified) 3cycle, P-51 and AndrewJ from apron 1. Met them when they arrived and we were off to the races. We headed down to YQS and cought Hornet 1 arrive in style! Low and overs complete with a high alpha pass! Great start to the weekend!

Friday was spent on YQS grounds all day. Nothing happend in the morning, but once the CF-18 Performance (an amazing one at that!) was complete it was Slammer Bammer. We had one after another after another arrive. It was an awesome sight to see! After everyone was in, it was time to head downtown for the Pub Crawl. G and Mike, Fantastic idea! I think we have a new tradition! I dont remember getting home but I woke up at Andrew Colvins place at 7am and had to be at YQS for 8am.

Saturday morning was &%#@. Myself and my team spent most of the day inside the Hercs keeping dry while we watched the day go by. The show was delayed 2 hours, but it was the right call as most of the show got in under Blue skies. Unfortunatly with all the rain, the parking lots became mud bogs which would make things interesting for Sunday.

Sunday had perfect Weather, a perfect flying display and a HUUUGE Crowd! It was nice to meet some of you when I had a chance to stop and talk. I didnt get to see most of the show as I was really busy with the large crowd, but 3 things cought my attention. #1. The C-17 demo still kicks ass! #2. The Improvised A-10 display was fantastic and down right cool to watch (they used up their fuel and had to land at Buffalo on their way home)! #3 and best of all, almost all of the pilots taking part in the weekend's show made special Dedication passes for Kaitlin. With Kaity Day being a huge success, it was Truly a Class-act by all performers this weekend.

Monday was the perfect way to end a great weekend. The same guys who started the weekend, ended the weekend. "The Tacos" put the exclamation mark on the weekend with the best series of passes I have ever seen. WOOO!

A Big Thank You to Gerry and Mike for putting on one of the best Airshows I have ever been to! also thanks for putting up with my antics all weekend lol. I had a blast with you guys and I'm sure we will do it again.

Now I'm gonna go hook up an IV bag and go sleep for 24 hours. :D

A few photos from yesterday.....

Thank you Gerry Vanderhoek and Mike Lewis, I had a great day. The only negative aspect of the event came during the 3 ship A-10 flight, I was crowded out by 'Touristas', so I visited the Mill Street Tent.

Cheers to the fellow using the Sony a700 camera who was standing near me, good to see something other than 'Canikon' out there. These were shot using my Sony a200 (which is balls), as my a700 suffered water damage.

Brig, it isn't a matter of complaining. We were wondering why there was an issue with the parking and specifically the length of time it took some of us to finally get into the show.

I didn't know how badly the area was hit by the rain the day before, and after hearing about how much rainfall did come down I can now understand fully the endeavor that faced the volunteers when they arrived to try to dry everything out. The parking grounds across from the Snowbirds was fine save for a couple of soft spots.

I'm just curious as to what time the field parking was closed because from the time that I past the entrance to that field (about 12:00pm) it then took me close an 1.5 hrs to get into the main gates and finally watching the show. I don't want to make an assumption, but something tells me that it had everything to do with the OPP not expecting to handle a 3 way lineup on the airport road.

The show was great, probably the best airshow when it comes to a military presence and the guys who put it together should be commended for their efforts.

I didn't mean you, Bandit. I was talking about the guy who gave the show an F just because of the parking and who said, "Those !@#$ aren't getting a cent of my money" after he found a spot and was asked if he wanted to walk in.
